LIVE IN AUSTIN, TX

How ShiftChef works

ShiftChef connects Austin bars, restaurants, and nightlife venues directly with the bartenders, door security, and kitchen staff who want to work there. No staffing agency, no résumé pile, no middleman fee eating into anyone's pay.

What ShiftChef is

ShiftChef is a shift-based job board built specifically for Austin's Sixth Street hospitality scene. Venues post an open shift — a bartender for Friday night, door security for a private event, a prep cook for the weekend rush — and workers who are free and qualified apply directly. The venue picks who they want, sends them the details, and the shift gets covered.

It's not a staffing agency and it's not a general job board. Every post is a real, dated, paid shift at a real Austin venue.

For workers: how to find a shift

  1. Create a free account. Tell us your name and what kind of work you're looking for.
  2. Browse or search the map. Filter by role — Bartender, Door Security, Line Cook, Prep Cook, Dishwasher, or Kitchen Staff — and see exactly where each shift is on a map of Sixth Street.
  3. Apply in one click. Add a short note if you want, and the venue sees your application right away.
  4. Get hired. If the venue picks you, you get a message with the details — where to go, when to show up, and what to bring.

  4. Hire and message them. One click sends a hire confirmation with next-steps instructions built in.
